Q: Why would I want to set up an ACH transfer?
ACH transfers are great for setting up recurring payments and transfers that happen every month for the same amount. For example, if you make a loan payment every month (even to another bank or credit union), ACH can make that happen automatically from your credit union account. This takes the hassle out of remembering to make payments and helps ensure you don’t forget or fall behind!
Q: Is there a required minimum or maximum ACH amount?
No. ACH transactions may be for any amount.
Q: Can I request a one-time ACH from my Credit Union account?
No. ACH transactions are intended for recurring transactions at a consistent dollar amount.
Q: Can I set up recurring payments, withdrawals, and deposits both to and from my Credit Union account?
Q: How do I initiate an ACH either to or from my Credit Union account?
Please complete the ACH Authorization form, located in E-access in the Forms menu. Or, you may call us at 1-888-521-5209 and select option 5 if you wish to speak with a Credit Union representative to set up an ACH transfer.
Q: Can a third party (someone not on my account) send funds via ACH transaction to my Credit Union account?
Yes. Please send written notification to the Credit Union, so these items will be accepted. Notices should be emailed to the HOME CU-ACH-WIRE-TRANSFER.
Q: Does the Credit Union charge a fee for ACH transactions?
No, we do not charge any fees for ACH transactions! However, we encourage you to check with your other institution to determine if they charge a fee for sending or receiving ACH transactions.
Q: How do I set up an ACH transaction with an external institution or organization?
Members use our ACH service for a variety of purposes, including tax refunds, Social Security deposits, mortgage payments, and direct deposits from other employers. You’ll need to provide the other institution or organization with the following information:

Your 7-Digit Member Number and the Suffix: Use your full 7 digit member number followed by your sub-account suffix. (Examples: S1, S2.3, L51.1, L38). If alpha characters are not permitted, substitute the number 5 for the letter S or the number 7 for the letter L. If the suffix isn’t supplied, the transaction will default to you S1 account.
Q: What happens if an ACH is scheduled to post to my account and I don’t have the money in my account?
The Credit Union will return the ACH transaction and charge an insufficient funds fee. See our website for our current Rate and Fee Schedule.
